What we have to sell
Our current stock of 2500 trees is from a 18,500 ha collective of >300 indigenous smallfarmers and 2 indigenous groups expanding the borders of the Tropical Andean biodiversity hotspot. However, if you buy them, we will plant them.
Nothing in nature is static. We are devoted to not only preserving, but expanding, primary forests and restoring ecosystems. For carbon credits, this translates into the quality of additionality, but it’s bigger than that because native trees planted properly yield more co-benefits to ecosystems. Our plantations contain no less than five native trees, planted and stewarded by locals for a minimum of one year.
All our seedlings are sustainably sourced and cultivated in community nurseries, usually by local women.

Yeah you got it, it’s just a tree. Well not just a tree. Our trees grow to full standing height in 6 years and live for 300 years with no fire risk. But we track our trees with the same MRV we use for carbon and biodiversity credits so it’s easier to call it a tree credit.

Carbon credits don’t pay enough to plant trees properly. We are dedicated to reforestation that is good for the entire ecosystem, so we sell two services. Carbon credits for mature trees, tree credits for planting small trees, and running community seedling banks. These banks are beneficial for the community, often women-led, and are also good for forests (seeds collected sustainably).

Yes we do, and we’re really proud of our partnership with Digital Gaia who tracks all our trees by satellite and their additionality to the area.
